LipoMax is a new type of nucleic acid transfection reagent for eukaryotic cells.
LipoMax features the following characteristics:
1. It exhibits extremely high transfection efficiency in a variety of cells.
2. The DNA-LipoMax complex can be directly added to cells in culture medium (with or without serum).
3. For most cells, medium replacement is not required after transfection. However, for a few sensitive cells, the DNA-LipoMax complex can be removed by replacing the medium 4 - 6 hours after transfection.
4. It is not recommended to use this product for RNA transfection.

LipoMax is a liquid reagent with a concentration of 5mg/ml. Save at 4 degrees. Do not freeze.

The LipoMax transfection reagent has undergone extensive testing in HEK293 and mouse trophoblast stem cells (TS). The LipoMax transfection reagent is free from microbial contamination.
Important reference
1. The ratio of DNA (µg) to LipoMax (µl) is suitable between 1:2 and 1:3. Taking one well of a 24 - well plate as an example, for transfecting 0.5 - 2.0×10⁵ cells, 0.5 - 1 µg of DNA can be mixed with 1 - 3 µl of LipoMax. For specific experiments, adjusting the DNA/LipoMax ratio can optimize the transfection efficiency.
2. To ensure the transfection efficiency, the cell density during transfection for most cells should reach 60 - 80%. However, the specific cell density should be determined based on the optimized conditions.
3. There is no need to use antibiotic - free culture medium during transfection.
4.Opti - MEM or other serum - free culture media, such as DMEM, can be used to dilute DNA and LipoMax. If other serum - free culture media are used for dilution, the conditions need to be optimized.
